皆さん、こんにちは。2025年4月に関西学院大学国際学部の教員として着任しました。

多国籍企業の社会貢献（特に文化・芸術分野）や、国際的な人口移動（とりわけ日本の外国人雇用・労働問題）などについて、産官学民各セクターのガバナンスやアウトカム、ひいては共創的に社会へ与えるインパクトの向上を考究対象としています。実務者として損害保険会社、研究者として総合商社に付属するシンクタンクで経験を積みながら、並行的に日本政府の行政官や審議会委員等として法制度の設計・運用にも関与してきました。専門とする政治学における理論と実践の往還により、教育研究の実効性向上を図っています。

勤務経験のある場所として、国内では東京と広島、国外ではニューヨークとニュージャージーが挙げられます。出張経験も加えるならアジア、中東、ヨーロッパ、アフリカ、北米、中南米の40を超える国を訪れてきました（写真はミャンマーのダウェーからタイのバンコクまで、約400㎞を陸路で移動した際、ミャンマー側の移動の途中で撮ったものです）。こうした経験から得られた見識も授業で取り上げながら、皆さんと楽しくも真面目に学習したいと思います。

Hello everyone! I became a faculty member at the School of International Studies (SIS), Kwansei Gakuin University, in April, 2025.

My research focuses on improving the governance and outcomes of the industry, government, academia, and civil society, as well as their collective impact. The examples are as follows: the social responsibility of multinational corporations (especially in the fields of culture and arts) and international migration (especially the issue of migrants’ employment and labor in Japan). I have been working as a practitioner at a property & casualty insurance company for about 20 years, and as a researcher at a think tank attached to a trade and investment company for about 10 years. Concerning migrants’ employment and labor, I have also been involved in the design and implementation of applicable laws and regulations for about 10 years as an official of the Government of Japan and as a member of the councils.

I have work experience in Tokyo and Hiroshima in Japan, and in New York and New Jersey abroad. Including business trips, I have visited over 40 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, North America, and Central and South America. (The photo was taken during a land journey of approximately 400 kilometers from Dawei, Myanmar to Bangkok, Thailand—specifically on the Myanmar side of the trip.) Drawing on the insights gained through these experiences, I look forward to engaging in both enjoyable and earnest learning with all of you in class.
