2024年3月28日に公益財団法人大阪ガス国際交流財団・インドネシア シャクアラ大学・関西学院大学国際学部の三者共催にてオンライン交流会を開催しました。

当交流会には国際学部の有志2名が参加し、インドネシアと日本の伝統文化や食べ物などを様々な観点から紹介するなどし、お互いの国への理解を深めることができました。
2名の学生が実際に着物を羽織って紹介したり、ダンスパフォーマンスを行うなど、日本の文化についてのプレゼンテーションを行うと、シャクアラ大学の学生からは拍手や「素晴らしい」との声が次々にあがり大変活気づいた交流会となりました。

関西学院大学チームのリーダーとしてチーム内およびシャクアラ大学の調整を進めた国際学部2年生逢坂奈穂さんに、オンライン交流会に参加した感想を伺いました。

「今回の交流会は、事前に代表者同士で開催日時や当日の流れを話し合うところから始まりました。
私はシャクアラ大学の代表者とメールやZOOMミーティングで連絡を取り合い、協力して詳細を決めていきました。
交流会は3月に実施する予定でしたが、私が代表を引き受けて関学側とシャクアラ大学側との調整を始めたのが3月はじめだったため、時間がないのではと不安でしたが、多くの方々のサポートを受けて無事当日を迎えることができました。
交流会当日はお互いの国を紹介し合い、それに対し質問をし合って、お互いへの理解を深めました。
日本の紹介として私が着物を羽織って見せた時や、関学チームの他メンバーがダンスを踊った時に、シャクアラ大学の皆さんが盛り上がってくださって嬉しかったです。
シャクアラ大学からは伝統的な踊りを教えていただき、一緒に楽しく踊りました。
お互いの文化や言語、踊り、歌、食べ物、宗教など、多くを教え合い、大変有意義な時間でした。」

なお、今回の交流会は、国際学部長も務められた伊藤正一・元国際学部教授が大阪ガス国際交流財団の理事に就任されていることから実現しました。

On March 28, the Osaka Gas Foundation of International Cultural Exchange, Syiah Kuala University in Indonesia, and School of International Studies at Kwansei Gakuin University jointly hosted an online exchange session.

Two volunteer students from the School of International Studies participated in the exchange, and participants introduced traditional culture and food from both Indonesian and Japanese side from various perspectives, to deepen understanding of each other's country.
When the two students gave presentations on Japanese culture, including an introduction wearing a kimono and a dance performance, the students of Syiah Kuala University gave them an applaud with compliments, which gave the event a lively atmosphere.

We asked Naho Osaka, a second-year student in the School of International Studies, who coordinated the KGU team and Syiah Kuala University as its leader, about her impressions of participating in the online exchange.

"The event was scheduled in March, but since I took on the role of representative in early March, I was worried that I would not have enough time, but with the support of many people, we were able to make it to the event.
On the day of the online exchange meeting, we introduced each other's countries and asked each other questions to deepen our understanding of each other. I was happy to see how excited the people of Syiah Kuala University were when I showed them my kimono as an introduction to Japan and when the other members of my team did a dance performance.
Students from Syiah Kuala University taught us traditional dances and we enjoyed dancing together online. It was a very meaningful time as we taught each other so much about each other's culture, language, dances, songs, food, religion, and so on."

This exchange meeting was made possible by the fact that Mr. Shoichi Ito, a former professor of the School of International Studies, who also served as Dean of the School of International Studies, is a board member of the Osaka Gas Foundation of International Cultural Exchange.
