国際学部の学生も運営に携わる学生団体「KAKEHASHI」が共同で企画・発案したプラントベース食（植物由来原料から作られた食品）が、12月4日～15日の期間、西宮上ケ原キャンパス食堂BIG PAPAで提供されます。

「KAKEHASHI」は主に学生を対象に「SDGsの認知度向上と目標達成に向けてアクションを起こすきっかけを提供すること」を目的に活動している、関西学院大学 KG SDGsキャンパスサポーター 連携団体です。これまでも同様の取り組みを実施しており、過去には大豆ミートを使用したタコライスを提供し好評を博しました。
畜産が環境に与える負荷の低減を目指し、食堂を利用する学生が普段口にする食事とそうした環境問題の関係性に目を向けるきっかけを作りたいという思い、また、様々な宗教やバックグラウンドを持つ留学生でも楽しむことができるメニューを提供していきたいという思いから、関西学院大学生活協同組合の協力のもと、今年はプラントベースの「麻婆茄子丼」と「ガパオライス」を食数限定・週替わりで提供することになりました。

Plant-based meals(foods made from plant-derived ingredient) planned and conceived by "KAKEHASHI," a student organization, will be served from December 4 to 15 at BIG PAPA, Nishinomiya Uegahara Campus.

KAKEHASHI is a student organization authorized as KG SDGs Campus Supporter collaborator which aims to raise awareness of the SDGs and provide opportunities for students to take action toward achieving its goals. 
They have also offered the taco rice made with soybean meat in the past couple years, which was well received by the students and other users of the cafeteria.

In order to reduce the environmental impact of livestock problem, to increase awareness of the relation between food and such environmental issues among students who use the cafeteria, and to provide a menu that can be enjoyed by international students of various religions and backgrounds, the group has decided to offer plant-based "Ma-po eggplant rice bowl" and "Gapao rice" in limited quantities this year in cooperation with Kwansei Gakuin University Co-op Union.
