国際学研究フォーラム講演会『朝鮮戦争映画をめぐる記憶の政治学』開催 / The Lecture Event on Korean Films and "Public Memory" Was Held.

6月16日（木）、上ヶ原キャンパス図書館ホールにて、国際学研究フォーラム講演会『The Politics of Remembering The Korean War: Blockbuster Films, History, and Social Memory/朝鮮戦争映画をめぐる記憶の政治学』が開催されました。
カルフォニア大学ロサンゼルス校（UCLA）教授（韓国近現代史）でUCLA韓国学研究センター所長であるナミ・リー氏を迎え、朝鮮半島の分断や朝鮮戦争など、韓国国内でも議論の分かれる歴史的な問題を扱った1990年代後半以降のヒット映画を切り口として、韓国国民の“公的な記憶”の変遷や受容について深く掘り下げる非常に興味深い講演会となりました。

International Studies Research Forum hosted the lecture event, "The Politics of Remembering the Korean War: Blockbuster Films, History, and Social Memory," on Thursday, June 16, at the Uegahara Campus Library Hall.
Professor Namhee Lee from the Center for Korean Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, gave a very interesting and insightful lecture on the transition and reception of "public memory" in Korean society, using hit films released after the late 1990s that deal with controversial historical issues in Korea, such as the division of the Korean Peninsula or the Korean War, as a starting point.
