11月26日（金）Ｂ号館３０４号教室にて国際学部開設10周年記念講演会「米中の覇権争いと日本の対応」が開催され、国際学部の在学生や退職教員を含む約100名が参加しました。読売新聞アジア総局長の田原徳容先生からは「インド太平洋地域を巡る米中の覇権争いの現状と今後」について、日本経済新聞編集委員の太田泰彦先生からは「デジタル冷戦の行方は」についてご講演いただきました。最後には関西外国語大学教授伊藤正一先生司会のもと、パネルディスカッション・質疑応答が行われました。講演後、村田治学長が国際学部の発展の歩みを振り返りながら、今後への期待についてお話いただきました。



On Friday, November 26, the lecture event titled "The Struggle for Supremacy between the U.S. and China and Japan's Response" was held in Room 304 of Building B to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the School of International Studies. About 100 people, including current students and retired faculty members of the SIS, participated in the event. Mr. Norimasa Tahara, Chief of the Yomiuri Shimbun's Asia Bureau, presented "The Current Status and Future of the U.S.-China Hegemony Struggle over the Indo-Pacific Region." Then, Mr. Yasuhiko Ohta, a Nihon Keizai Shimbun's editorial board member, talked on "The Future of the Digital Cold War." The lectures were followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session moderated by Professor Shoichi Itoh of Kansai Gaidai University. To conclude the event, President Osamu Murata looked back on the development of the School of International Studies and spoke about his expectations for the future.
