2021年8月7日（土）、8日（日）に2021年夏のオープンキャンパスが来場型・Web型で開催されました。
7日の模擬講義はツー・ティモシ―教授（タイトル名：The Chinese Who Came to Japan on the Black Ships）、 8日はブングシェ・ホルガ―教授（タイトル名：ヨーロッパにおけるファッション産業：LOUIS VUITTON・CHANEL・GUCCIの事例）を実施しました。 また、国際学部独自イベント初の試み、国際学部教員によるパネルディスカッションを実施しました。
テーマは『「SDGs」「移民」「日本」～国際学部で何を学ぶ？どう学ぶ？～』で、 あらゆる分野を専門とする国際学部教員4名がテーマのキーワードを絡めながらフリートークを行い、国際学部の魅力を伝えました。

また、2021年8月3日（火）、4日（水）には、主に国際学部にEbIS（English-based International Student）として入学を考える方を対象に、初の英語話者向けオンラインイベント（SIS Online Open day 2021）を実施しました。
Zoomを利用し、オンライン同時双方向型による模擬講義（教授言語：英語）を実施。また、実際にEbISのカリキュラムで学ぶ在学生と学部長による座談会も開催され、参加者と共に大いに盛り上がりました。

The 2021 Summer Open Campus was held on Saturday, August 7, and Sunday, August 8, 2021, both in person and via the web.
Professor Tsu Timothy gave the mock lecture titled “The Chinese Who Came to Japan on the Black Ships” on the 7th. Then, on the 8th, Professor Bungusche Holger presented another mock lecture, “The Fashion Industry in Europe: The Case of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Gucci.”

We also organized a panel discussion by the SIS faculty members as the first attempt at its event. The topic was “SDGs, Immigrants, and Japan – What and how do you learn in the School of International Studies?” Four SIS faculty members, who specialize in a wide range of fields, gave a free conversation regarding the theme centering on the keywords and conveyed the appeal of the SIS.

Prior to the Open Campus, the SIS held its first online event for English speakers (SIS Online Open day 2021) on August 3 and 4, 2021, mainly for those considering enrolling in the SIS as English-based International Students (EbISs). The mock lectures were conducted in English using Zoom in an online simultaneous interactive format.
Moreover, a round-table discussion was held between current students studying in the EbIS curriculum and the dean, and it was a great success with the participants.
