Professor Chihiro Morito of the School of Human Welfare Studies gave a presentation titled “Where Community Well-Being Begins: Meso-Level Service Practices as the Primary Locus of Well-Being” at Frontiers in Service 2026, which was held from June 29 to July 2, 2026, in Helsinki, Finland. The Frontiers in Service Conference is widely regarded as one of the world’s premier international gatherings for advancing service research and innovation. Approximately 200 to 400 researchers from over 40 countries gather each year to give presentations and participate in discussions.
The conference featured lively academic discussions through workshops, panel sessions, and research presentations. Through the international exchange of ideas and discussions on recent developments in service research, the conference provided a valuable opportunity to gain insights for the further development of her research.
