IEFL Stephen MCNAMARA served as a member of the organisational committee for the Asian Conference for Innovation in Education (ACIE) which was held from 2026/02/09 to 2026/02/10 in Bangkok, Thailand. ACIE is committed to academic excellence and innovation in education in the Asian context. Approximately 40 people  from 10 countries gathered to give presentations and hold discussions. Additionally, Stephen MCNAMARA gave a presentation with the title From Knowledge Inventories to Discourse Competency in Early English Medium Instruction. There were spirited and supportive discussions, an excellent plenary session from a leading Thai academic, as well as many opportunities for conversations with leaders in education from East Asia.
