Professor Shu Yamane, School of Architecture supervised "Science in Architectural Masterpieces", Newton Press, which was published on JUL 2026. This book scientifically analyzes architectural masterpiece works, including World Heritage sites, to reveal the advanced wisdom of our ancestors hidden within them. Prof. Yamane served as the supervising editor for “Chapter 5: Space and Technology in Islamic Architecture (The Alhambra—The Fulfillment of Geometry and Environmental Engineering; Imam Square—A ‘Living Heritage’ Born of Geometry).” The chapter provides a detailed explanation of the secrets of geometry and the environmental engineering mechanisms found in the Alhambra in Spain and Imam Square in Isfahan, Iran.
