2023年9月11日から13日にかけて、トビリシ国立大学（グルジア）にて、第5回国際会議「多言語教育の文脈における第二言語教育／習得」が開催された。この会議の目的は、多言語教育の文脈における第二言語教育のアプローチや戦略に加え、主要な概念や成果を検討し、共有することであった。アメリカ、ドイツ、日本など複数の国から数百人の参加者と発表者が集まる、比較的大規模な会議であった。発表は英語とグルジア語の両方で行われ、理論的な発表と実践的な発表がバランスよく行われた。
The fifth international conference: Second Language Teaching/Acquisition in the Context of Multilingual Education was held at Tbilisi State University (Georgia) from Sept. 11th-13th. The aim of the conference was to consider and share the main concepts and achievements in addition to approaches and strategies of second language teaching within the context of multilingual education. It was a relatively large conference with with several hundred attendees and presenters from multiple countries including the United States, Germany, Japan among others. Presentations were offered in both English and Georgian and the was a nice balance of theoretical and practical presentations.
