Professor Takeshi Inoue of the School of Law and Politics presented his research on "Rigid Text, Flexible Pacifism: Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution and Constitutional Change Without Formal Amendment in Japan" at the ICON•S Annual Conference 2026, held at University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland, from June 29 to July 1, 2026.

The conference brought together more than 2,000 scholars and featured over 600 panels, providing a forum for academic presentations and discussions.
