Professor Hidetoshi Sato, Sch. Bio. Env. Sci. gave a presentation on "Development of quantitative analytical techniques and Raman probes for subcutaneous fat analysis" at Scix 2026, which was held from 4 to 9 Oct. 2026 in Reno, USA. The Scix international conference is originated from the FACSS meeting, which was held by the Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies (FACSS) in 1974. The FACSS meeting has been renamed Scix in 2012, and this event marks the 53rd edition of the conference. Professor Sato was the final speaker in SPSJ session hi organized, titled “Vibrational Spectroscopy for Healthcare, Presymptomatic Disease and Medical Analyses”.
