Language Center SIL Michael Wilkins Gives Presentation on The Effect of Short-term Language Exchanges on Students' Motivation to Study English at VietTESOL International Conference.

Language Center SIL Michael Wilkins gave a presentation on The Effect of Short-term Language Exchanges on Students' Motivation to Study English at the VietTESOL International Convention, which was held from August 27 to August 29 in Danang, Vietnam. The VietTESOL International Conference is Vietnam's most important language education meeting. Over 1000 attendees from over 25 countries gathered to give presentations and hold discussions. The conference covered many areas of language education but the focus was on Vietnam's goal of moving English language eduction from EFL to ESL with a focus on English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) and the Vietnam ministry of education's goal to work towards EMI.
