The 2026 annual conference of the Osaka Historical Association was held at the Uegahara Campus.

The 2026 Annual Conference and General Meeting of the Osaka Historical Association-organized by a secretariat led by Professor Hiroyuki Takaoka of the Faculty of Letters-was held on June 29, 2026, at Building B of Kwansei Gakuin University’s Uegahara Campus. Established in 1948 ,the Osaka Historical Association is one of the Japan’s largest historical societies and has contributed to the advancement of historical research based in the Kansai region. At this conference, participants were divided into five sections-ranging from archaeology to modern and contemporary history-where the latest research findings in each field were presented and lively discussions took place. Although the conference was in jeopardy due to an approaching typhoon, it concluded successfully with over 300 participants from across the country in attendance.
