Report on the Utilization of the ÄKTA pure 25 L1 System
An ÄKTA pure 25 L1 system has been installed in the laboratory of Professor Shinsuke Fujiwara, School of Biological and Environmental Sciences. This instrument was introduced through the Special Equipment Grant of Kwansei Gakuin University for fiscal year 2022 and was installed on April 7, 2022. The system is currently in active use in Professor Fujiwara’s laboratory. The laboratory conducts research on the purification and functional characterization of enzymes produced by microorganisms inhabiting extreme environments. The ÄKTA system is widely used as a protein purification platform for these studies, particularly for enzymes involved in DNA synthesis and polyamine biosynthesis. Research outcomes obtained using this instrument have already been published in several peer-reviewed scientific journals. Representative publications are listed below.
