Researcher's Note

The presenter focused on the unique use of noun phrases and the proximal determiner ("this") in a novel called Prophet Song by a contemporary Irish author, Paul Lynch. It was argued that this linguistic usage offers innovative possibilities for representing joint attention and writing dystopian fiction. The lively exchange of ideas following the presentation confirmed the validity of the research direction.
