Instructor of English as a Foreign Language, Leon Townsend-Nakai, of the Kwansei Gakuin University Language Center gave a presentation on learner reflections on a COIL project at the 9th International Conference on Applied Research in Education, which was held from 14/08/2026 to 14/08/2026 in Berlin, Germany. The 9th International Conference on Applied Research in Education is a platform for educators, researchers, and students to discuss teaching innovations, e-learning, and language education. 19 researchers from 16 different countries gathered to give presentations and hold discussions. Researchers delivered interesting and engaging presentations on their current research and asked thought-provoking questions for attendees. The conference was a wonderful opportunity to learn about current research and trends in education.
