Shuichi Moritani, Associate Professor at School of Business Administration, Gives Presentation on Building and utilizing HR department's social capital with line managers for effective HRM implementation: Evidence from Japanese firms at Association of Japanese Business Studies and Academy of International Business
Associate Professor Shuichi Moritani of the School of Commerce presented his research at the Association of Japanese Business Studies (AJBS) and the Academy of International Business (AIB), held in Manchester, United Kingdom, from June 28 to July 3, 2026. His presentation was titled “Building and Utilizing HR Department’s Social Capital with Line Managers for Effective HRM Implementation: Evidence from Japanese Firms.”
AJBS and AIB are international academic conferences that cover a wide range of topics related to international business, including issues faced by Japanese firms. At these conferences, more than 1,000 researchers from several dozen countries gathered to present their work and engage in scholarly discussion.
Moritani’s presentation generated active debate and provided numerous insights for future research. In addition, many cutting‑edge studies related to Japanese companies and international business were reported throughout the sessions.
