Professor, Sadahiro Masuo, School of Biological and Environmental Science gave a presentation on the theme of quantum dots at The International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies 2025 (Pacifichem 2025), held in Honolulu, United States, from December 15 to 20, 2025. Pacifichem 2025 is a major international conference that takes place in Hawaii every five years. Under the theme “Building Communities to Address Global Challenges,” the conference aimed to share knowledge on how various fields of chemistry can contribute to addressing social and scientific issues. A wide range of topics—including analytical chemistry, materials, life and pharmaceutical sciences, environment and energy, and chemical education—were discussed through symposia, oral presentations, and poster sessions. This international conference attracts many researchers from the Pacific Rim regions, including Asia, North America, and Oceania, with numerous symposium organizers and presenters also participating from Japan. By presenting research outcomes at such an international forum, we were able to engage in valuable discussions and gather information essential for further advancing our research.
