Akira Kurashima, Professor of the School of Sociology, conducted an international collaborative research project with Alexandre Legendre, Associate Professor of Paris Cité University. This project titled “Interdisciplinary Collaborative Research on Schematic Representations of Internal Sensations” was carried out from July 11 to August 3, 2025, with support from Kwansei Gakuin University's International Collaborative Research Travel Expense Subsidy.

As part of this initiative, an international academic conference entitled “Awareness Drawings” was held at Doshisha University on July 22. Participants included researchers from Japan, France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, leading to lively exchanges of ideas.
