Third, I involved in six activities as:

●What You Learned at Internship / インターンシップでの学び

Overall, my internship was extraordinary. I had many discussions with internal and external staffers of Kopernik like Mrs. Sarah Wilson and Solutions Lab team; Kopernik’s clients & partners like WASH, Akvo Foundation, and McKinsey & Company; and also the CEO of Kopernik, Mr. Toshi Nakamura. Mr. Toshi Nakamura shared his experiences in the UN and his opinion about development works inside and outside of Kopernik. I had learned much information and acquired new knowledges and skills. The first was about Kopernik’s business model. The founders combined a profit and a non-profit organization to collaborate with each other as a sustainable business. The second was about the partnership. Transferring knowledge and resources happened during this activity. Each member should get similar benefits to maintain the partnership. The third was related to the innovation stage. Every innovation should implement a pilot stage because not every innovation is suitable and useful in addressing an issue. The last was about communication. In my point of view, communication is like a starter kit for any development worker, which needs to be acquired before learning other competencies.

●The linkage between what you have learned at UNFA course and your internship experience / 国連・外交コース授業での学びとインターンシップ

My supervisor, Prof. Jun Kukita, helped me a lot during the beginning of the process until the end of my internship. He assessed my cover letter and my C.V. He also contacted and promoted me to Mr. Toshi Nakamura to be his intern in Kopernik. Almost all UN courses were related to my internship in Kopernik like Research Project in UN, Management of International Organization, International Public Policy, and Global Sustainable Development.

●Future Career Plan / 将来の目標、キャリアプラン

Before graduation, I will find and apply some vacancies of any international consulting company as my foothold before working in the UN system. I also put UNOCHA in my wishlist for my future career goal.

●What you think attractive about UNFA internship, impressive episode or encounter during the internship, etc / インターンシップに参加しての感想等

In my opinion, UNFA staffers had done very well in assisting & advising me since the beginning until the end of my internship. Also, there was an interesting experience when I joined the certificate commencement ceremony of the UNFA first batch by using video streaming. I was happy to see and greet my friends. I was very thankful for that opportunity. Also, another thing was during my internship, I helped local sellers in a traditional market, near my rental housing, in promoting their goods through the Internet. I shared about customers values, marketing strategy, and advertising in social media. I took some photos of their local shops, edited the photos, and registered information and the photos of their local shops on the internet. It was a unique and interesting experience. I didn’t expect that I would meet and help them during my internship in Ubud, Indonesia.
