It's okay to be "Broken"
Why I decided to write a book
I always had a dream that I wanted to write a book. Within the past year, I had done a lot of writing regarding things I had noticed in my daily life, my feelings, emotions and a lot more. The more I wrote, the more I felt like publishing a book. I wanted to publish my very first book before I turned 17, so that’s exactly what I did.
What I realized or how I felt writing it
I realized that I truly love writing. And I realized that I will always be the kind of person that has strong opinions and that can feel a variety of emotions. Being a teenager, especially in today’s world, isn't easy for a thousand reasons. There are so many feelings and realizations that we need to process, and as I was writing, I felt really happy to be able to put that in words.
I wrote this book hoping that people my age could relate to it. I wanted them to find a chapter that they think they can resonate with and use that chapter as a guide. However, as I saw people reading the book, I realized that this book could appeal to a larger audience as well. Adults seemed to be liking the book just as much, or maybe even more than people my age, so I thought that perhaps this book could be good for people of all ages.
Generally, I think that this book would be great for people that are looking for some clarity. Though it’s only my perspective, sometimes hearing the perspective of other people can give us more clarity than we expect.
