On November 28, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony was held to celebrate Advent on KG’s three campuses—Nishinomiya Uegahara, Kobe Sanda, and Nishinomiya Seiwa.
About 1,000 people, comprising pupils, students, teaching staff and the general public, each holding a lighted candle, gathered on the Central Lawn at the Nishinomiya Uegahara Campus to celebrate Advent and sang carols such as "Joy to the World."
Chancellor Grubel encouraged participants by saying "The Advent season is a time when we wait expectantly for God to help us, but instead of simply waiting, let's consider what we can do to help people in need and take action!"
As cedars along both sides of the clock tower at the Nishinomiya Uegahara Campus lit up, cheers arose from the participants, who were fascinated with the beautiful landscape.
