In the Graduate School of Policy Studies, students research actual government policy issues through a higher-order interdisciplinary approach. The School has three research areas – integrated policy studies, media and information, and international development strategy - and 18 research projects through which groups of faculty combine their efforts to guide students’ research. Students can choose their path from either the academic course, aimed at those who want to become researchers, or the professional course, for training skilled professionals. In the Research Consortium, a system that links the School with industry and government, students take part in instructor-led research linked with business and the local community. A positive policy toward admitting foreign students and people in employment; classes held both in the daytime and evenings; a program of internships in international organizations - these and many other original initiatives give the Graduate School of Policy Studies a character all its own.
